Viktor and his Doc Band

First of all this is my son. I try to never ever edit my viewer's freedom of speech but please refrain from obnoxious comments and conclusions. Questions are most welcome but read my whole comment first, they might all be answered there!

Ni Hao Kai Lan characters decorate the front of the band, and his name obviously is in the back. The band was a very slick plastic, it required 5 coats of acrylic for the base and the characters were about 3 each. What really made this a challenge was he could only have it off for one hour at a time, which left me 30 minutes to work on it and 30 minutes with it in front of a fan to dry. About 2 hours of work altogether, the characters and letters were all free handed by me. The characters are (c) NickJr.

Viktor was diagnosed with plagiocephaly, which is a condition characterized by an asymmetrical distortion (flattening of one side) of the skull. It was caused by congenital muscular torticollis, which was a tightening of the muscles on one side of his neck which had developed in utero. Through a month of physical therapy and daily stretching he has improved immensely and the doc band made by cranial technologies will gently reshape his skull before it fuses around 18 months old.

While you might think this is torture for him he really doesn't seem to care about it being on his head very much, it is soft foam inside and the really only alarming thing is that he quickly discovered he can whack his head around a lot more without getting hurt... it's going to be a shock for him to have it off in 3 - 4 months! lol. His squinty eye(s) are caused by the band placing light pressure where it needs to be and will improve as he gets used to it and his skull conforms to a more normal symmetry. The "point" should be in the center, but his ears aren't symmetrical bc of his skull, so they will also conform in time.
