Nature Dragon Posable Doll

Description

This dragon was a pita from the start! It insisted on a head form resembling a python instead of the viper I normally go for with my dragons. Then it didn't want facial hair, or the silver accented beads I had set aside for it! This dragon was probably my longest to paint EVER, mixing copper and antique gold and pure gold paints, redoing the eyes half a dozen times and insisting the hind legs be woody roots rather than toes like the front foot! BUT, I think in the end all the extra steps backwards paid off into a beautiful if somewhat unplanned finished doll. The beads I selected for the body are faceted green glass with gold accents and hand shaped stained ceramic beads sewn down with 4 loops (they aren't going ANYWHERE!) In the ears I put smaller genuine tigers eye and jasper beads, they were meant for the body as well but were too small to really be worth their value lost in the fur. ^_^

very nice
I totally understand how they evolve on their own and just want to be made a certain way no mater how you originally intended it!
I like the sequined tummy, it works really well, I normally feel that sequin fabric looks to tacky for anything arty other than children's costumes, but he's really working it :)
