Another for the 100 animal challenge! Sorry for the delay and simplistic background, it just seemed to suit this character
The Macaroni Penguin is found in many areas around the globe and is one of the most wide spread breeds. Their name was nothing to do with pasta really, but rather maccaronism, which was a term for a particular style in 18th century England marked by flamboyant or excessive ornamentation.
Being an Evangelion fan I was horribly tempted to draw a picture of PenPen the macaroni penguin but thought it was only fair I create my own for the challenge
Macaroni Penguins are only second to the little Blue Penguins on my list of what penguins are the cutest. Well, baby penguins top the charts forever and always, but they aren't technically a species.
