Description

Because, I HAD to. Now you'll all see what a monumental sporrattic gemini I am! =p

1. Is the cover of a Kabuki which is a traditional multi media series by David Mack. He has been an endless source of inspiration, both in his profound story lines and diverse art, he taught me to never tether myself in art, but to playa nd explore and let my viewers enjoy the journey as much as I do!

2. The Blue Bird was a movie starring Shirley temple that came out the same year as the Wizard of Oz. Though not as popular, I really enjoyed the story as well as all of her other movies. My favorite aspect through out her magical journey was that her cat and dog became human versions of themselves as her protectors.

3. Evangelion was one of the best anime series I watched, and really signifies that given a good enough story line, I don't mind robots too much. ;3 Long live Pen Pen!

4. Tenchi Muyo! The birth of my love for Anime, Little Washu remains one of my favorite characters of all time.

5. Trent reznor, shown here in "The perfect Drug" video. Probably one of the most profound music sources in my life, from his lyrics that morph to being so relative to his gorgeous alternative techno sounds, Trent is a true music GOD.

6. Fushigi Yugi, probably one of the very few love stories I really "fell in love with" a wonderful anime series I would reccommend to anyone.

7. Charlie Chaplin. Sarah Palin stated once that we as Americans have nothing to apologize for. Sarah Palin is a fucking moron. Charlie was one of the first and greatest trail blazers in the motion picture industry, and one of the few who survived the addition of sound in them. From his lovable Tramp character to the Great Dictator where he depicts both a Jew and Hitler he sets the bar miles above the rest. One of the greatest American travesties was the accusations against him for being a "red sympathizer", to the point where he never came home from Europe. It's very important to remember just because you have an enemy you should still have tolerance in your heart for what you don't understand, and to never be afraid to voice it.

8. Richard Dawkins (with Darwin behind him) has been a huge influence in my spiritual life, or rather lack there of. I was raised Lutheran but as I grew older I realized that I simply was unable to put blind faith into such things. I suggest his books to anyone who wants a valid reason to be a free thinker in a world of holistic insanity.

9. Harry Potter. These books are hands down some of the best of the century, and I don't mind admitting that being an adult. Quality is quality and JK's mind is pure gold.

10. John Cleese is one of my favorite actors. From his hilarious roles in Monty Python and Fawlty Towers to his animal activism he is heads and tails above the rest!

11. Garbage. Garbage came into my life in my pre teens and I really leaned heavily on their music during rough patches, namely my mom's death at 14. My Lover's Box remains one of my favorite songs.

12. Lady and Tramp! I must have watched this movie 15,000 times as a child, in my opinion it's quite under appreciated in fan art here. ;)

13. Mary Poppins was another massively watched film during my childhood, my cousins and I often dancing out the entire Chimney Sweep song (hey! we were 5 okay? lol)

14. Anubis. If you know who the artist of this piece is, I'd love to credit them, it was found through google images. I LOVE mythology and Anubis is my favorite god, followed by Odin. I have a design of him that is going on my shoulder, after my pregnancy.

15. Jack Nicholson is one of my favorite actors! His real life story is quite amazing too, he proves you can come fro the most messed up background and still be amazing. Not being a product of your envioronment FOR THE WIN.

16. The Lion King. Probably THE movie that really got me started in an affinity of animal art. I loved this movie because it was void of humans, a first for disney.

17. Ah lol a bit of a gag addition, the Scissor Sisters are a very very gay disco group who often preform with Elton John. These guys cheer me up SO much when I'm down in the dumps, yes that's right, disco is my secret picker upper ;)

18. Star Trek Deep Space Nine This was maybe my favorite show EVER! I'm a huge Trekkie and not afraid to admit it. DS9 was more in depth with the characters, probably because it was a station instead of a ship so the episodes revolved around them more than new species/aliens, Elim Garak is the man!

19. Julie Bell is one of my favorite artists. Her work in oils and acrylics really inspired me to step beyond my water color comfort zone. She was also a pioneer in metallic painting!

20. Night of the Living Dead the genere that started with this movie is just plain EPIC. I LOVE horror movies and zombies are one of my favorites! I do also have a great affinity for werewolves and vampires however. ;)

21. Stephen King One of the best authors ever imo. I'd hate to think what would have happened if his wife hadn't dug Carrie out of the bin. My favorite book of his is The Green Mile.

22. The Secret of Nimh was another childhood favorite, the designs of the characters still enthrall me today, Sometimes I feel as if such care and work has been lost in today's cartoons.

23. Watership Down was one of my favorite books, the movie was wonderful as well. Watch out for the black rabbit!

24. Last but not least! Tori Amos. Most people write her off as a folk singer without really seeing her for what she is, a multi talented pianist and extremely skilled song writer. This picture, of her nursing a piglette turned the moral world on it's ear.

I know almost all of the animated stuff you've posted. I love them all too, though Evangelion I never did get into cause it didn't show at the times when I was home. Ah, Tenchi Muyo. Washu and Ryoko (and Ryo-Oki! Who wouldn't love a cute little cabbit critter that turns into a sweet pirate spaceship?) are still some of my top favorite anime characters.

Have you ever seen Escaflowne? It and Tenchi both really got me into anime.

Stephen King is a great writer :D I want to read his new one, Under the Dome.
