Another in the 100 animals challenge.
Giant Pangolins are actually pretty cool! They are found in Africa where termites are abundant, these gentle giants are nocturnal and pick through the bush and savanna on their hind legs with their front feet tucked against their chests looking for all the world like little old men =) They use their huge front claws for breaking apart termite mounds as well as a long sticky tongue for snagging them up. When they sense they are in danger they will curl into a tight armored ball that is nearly impossibly to penetrate.

Thanks ^_^ I had to put two to show how cute they can be, I think they're much cuter than the armadillos we have around my area =)

We didn't have these crazy critters where I grew up in Missouri.... I wasn't prepaired to have gators soakng in the last of the heat form the sidewalk in front of my gate at dusk and 3 foot long scaled mammals destroying my gardens... and we're not even going to bring up palmetto bugs... o_O

Ewwwwwwwww palmetto bugs oh i so hate them things. When I lived in TX and yes I miss it. I wasn't prepared for having to check my shoes & boots every morning to make sure there were no spiders in em; wasn't prepared to see rattlesnakes jumpin off of hot pavement up onto movin cars; wasn't used to having to watch walking barefoot so i didn't step on a scorpion; and i wasn't prepared for the most beautiful sound in the world either ---coyotes howling at the moon at night. And I still say there's nothing prettier than a texas sky at night.
