Description

This gorgeous little guy was immense fun! I'm not a big bear fan, but have never really been happy with my renderings of them so it was nice to get some three dimensional practice. His horns were the commissioners idea, I really enjoying making them too! =D The hands are completely sculpted from wire with the nails roots to their tips with strong steel over sculpey firm for sturdiness. They have some amount of free range motion and posabaility but move best as a hand unit to help him climb the trees and mountains in his habitat. I was so excited to use bits of leather for the paw pads, it was a bit hard to sew through with a normal cloth needle though, ah well. ;)

My holiday commissions still have a couple slots unclaimed, 75.00 off doll commissions!

So, I keep forgetting to ask you about this but since I'm going through and adding all the art dolls I've commissioned or bought from you to my faves, I figured I should ask now while I'm thinking about it. There are two places where his stitches have come open, I'm guessing from all the moving and packing I've been doing lately. Should I stitch him up with normal thread? Or is there something different you use on the dolls that's sturdier?
